Miss Layla Starling, the young, beautiful, and extremely wealthy heiress, is the talk of London. Until now, she’s managed to evade the marriage noose. Despite the fact that she is unfortunately American, she’s received a staggering number of offers. And turned down every one.

St. John Evernight does not want to admit the relief he feels every time he hears that she has rejected one of her suitors. Which is unfair of him. Layla deserves to be happy. But he can not offer her happiness. He will never be normal, never be anything but a freak in her world. So St. John resolves to keep his distance, until he is recruited by the Society for the Suppression of Supernaturals to guard Layla. For she is in grave danger, and he is about to learn the full extent of his powers.

Forevermore is the exciting conclusion to the Darkest London Series and it will take you on one thrilling ride. I absolutely loved the characters and the world that the author created. I love, love, love a good paranormal romance and this story definitely hit all the marks for me. And then if you add in some good action, suspense, the historical romance factor and sexy good times…..well that’s the recipe for a really good read; in my opinion.

Summary: What if Bella was the youngest daughter of Galadriel, one who thought was lost but in hiding. What if Gandalf asks for her aid in Thorin’s quest.

BTW I should mention Italics are the elves speaking in their native tongue Sindarin. Bold Italics is when they are speaking in Khuzdul. All words translated at the bottom.

The Dwarrow’s of Erebor had stopped moving and simply stared at the two elves that stood just inside the great door, their arms entwined and eyes closed as they rested their foreheads together. They all knew who Moriel and her One were; many had seen and spoken to the Lady herself as she helped reconstruct Erebor and helped with the injured of the battle.

I do the grocery shopping in our household and have been surprised with the large number of life lessons and character definitions one can learn at the store.

Now and then I will look ahead to see what is holding up the checkout line and sure enough, there she is.  That sweet little old silver haired lady is up there laboriously writing out a paper check and just as laboriously posting it to her check book figuring out the new balance.  I just snicker and snort….why doesn’t she just swipe a card and take her receipt and move on?   Well, that is because paper checks were how it was done back in her prime and it is what she understands and is comfortable with.

Now comes the news article I read this past week.  The headline boldly proclaims that “Swiping the Plastic is on the way out!”  What?  Why?  What is wrong with cards?  More importantly, what is going to replace the procedure I understand and I am comfortable with?
